so, i decided to head back to the apt after we finished visiting the Intrepid. i have to say that it is an awesome museum for adults and children. lots of stuff to see. if you ever find yourself in midtown Manhattan, check this place out. it's worth it. but skip the place they list to park your car if you drive. you can find a cheaper parking garage if you head north a few blocks (around 55th and 11th Ave).
most memorable nyc dweller moment of the day:
going to retrieve my car, i ask how much, they say $24, i ask, "is this after the discounted $6?", the guy says, "yes, it's normally $30 dollars but for
you, it's $24"
i laughed, said "yeah right, i live here, i'm no tourist" the man promptly lost his fake smile and shut his pie hole.
~~~
so, here in the apt. it seems that the cats have been better off than i have been all day. it's nice and cool and they're lounging around.
nice.
time to peel my dress up clothes off. i actually wore a really pretty white peasant type blouse and a sage green mini skirt. haven't worn a skirt in YEARS> mostly, because i can't find any that:
1. i like
2. are age appropriate because i'm not 12.
so, today i get gussied up only to sweat my ass off.
oh, more advice for you:
dear tourists...please do not attempt to drive in NYC (this means ALL 5 boroughs). i hope i don't need to explain myself.
ciao. and have a cold one for me will ya?!
