come as you are as you were as i want you to be as a friend as a friend as a known enemy... who cares? who the hell cares? if i shake hands with the man, if i kiss my momma's feet, if i paint my walls black, if i'm wearing blue? this isn't real. this isn't real. this isn't real. i'm the fat momma with ten kids in tow. i'm the clown sitting here waiting for the show to go on. i'm the old man who's peed in his pants, i'm the cat sleeping peacefully on the radiator cover... come one come all. join the show, bring your drinks, and a good book, wear your fine slippers and mules, bring the box of cigars, and wear your smiles... in truth, i'm damned tired. i'm exhausted. i've run the emotional marathon a few times over and well, i'm ready to let it all hang out. let it all hang, unfolded and unrolled. i'll sit here like dragon lady and watch the incense smoke curl it's soothing tendrils, watch it make love to the air. we're all smoke, gas and stoked, full of pain and laughter, and love and war, we want the brass ring, we want the warm hands at midnight, we want connection. and this is it...

i spent some of this day playing with a little girl, too. lol. when we walked into her house, she showed us the baby, who we hadn't seen since he was born in january. she showed me her mama and her colors, but they all seemed to be red. she pinched the baby's cheeks like i did when he was standing in his stander (what do they call those?). then, she fell asleep before johnny bravo came on and she could do 'the monkey'. we settled for watching her parent's do it, instead.
