i love school though. i love my course classes. and what a beautiful day today is. i slept in a little. got ready for class without having to rush. even remembered to pack the scrubs i'd borrowed from school when i was doing doggie care...
i'm walking to the bus stop and there in the middle of the road is some poor critter that didn't make it past the metal. it always pisses me off to see road kill (which should be re-named speeding asshole kill). this is a very busy street and a very wide street. it's mostly a residential area. there's absolutely NO Excuse for running over an animal on this road. NONE. the only reason is stupid driving. end of story. so, i grabbed my clean scrub top, and got in the middle of the road. scooped up mr. raccoon and placed him at the side of the road, why shouldn't he have some dignity even in death?! i find it ridiculous that AFTER the animal is dead, drivers slow down and drive around them.
i bagged my scrub top, said a little prayer, and ignored the glares that drove by me. why does it make people uncomfortable to see someone else attempting to do the right thing??! screw them.
so, another semester has begun. i love school. i love it. what is sucky is having to work 2-10pm every friday for 5 months. well, at least i don't have to be here at 7am...ah, well, soon spring break will be around the corner and i may just take a little trip to a warmer climate, i'll pack my flippers and some birdseed...
