midnight
and eight minutes past. just got home from work and after considering all the writings i've read it's time to just go to sleep. i'm tired. been up since 5:30am...and today i:
-wrote a few comments in defense of my amnesty international friends
-scrubbed dog kennels, fed, watered and smooched all the wonderful doggies
-checked in on the sleeping rats
-reprimanded doogie the fighting cat
-and examined and bathed my little charge: precious...
that little beagle is kind, sweet, spunky, and loves a good biscuit.
she's been my solace these past few days and she likes being in this country, i can tell. but if she barks every now and then, hey, she's allowed to, she's a dog...

today has been a day of mourning for me, now that the weekend is come and i have no work
even the sky was in mourning, tears from heaven
but you are right, it is in the simple things we find treasures
