got up early, took care of catstuff and then gathered gear for a picnic in prospect park. found a great spot a few feet from the water. it was a little area that could only fit me! so i had my own little private beach area (with no sand) under a beautiful cloudless blue sky and gorgeous (but hot) sun. i saw a turtle peep up from the water and then disappear. :-) wrote a little in my journal. listened to music. ate lunch. then packed up and went for a walk through the park. i must have walked a few miles. finally called it a day, headed to the car and drove back...to run some errands...library, food shop, cat food shop. got home, took a 5 hour nap!
i'm a little sunburned and my feet are sore from all of the walking. all in all a great semi-lazy day. tomorrow promises to have more of the same. it's a beautiful night out...the moon is full and the humidity is low.
still haven't seen Cowboys and Aliens. perhaps tomorrow. the cinema it's showing at is across the street from the park. i could catch a show and then go for a walk to burn off popcorn/candy calories. :-)
mulling over when to begin training again.... (running)...i think the chances of running a marathon are slim to none but i won't rule out half marys. a lot less training and stress. we'll see what happens.
