this is what i truly believe i have. i have never been sick for more than a few days...i'm now on day 9...while the body aches are mostly gone, i'm still struggling with the coughing, sneezing, and massive green slime drainage.
i actually called the CDC because i was concerned i might pass this on to patients (of the four legged variety that aren't swine), and especially to my kitty who is FIV (feline AIDS) and immunosupressed. they haven't had any cases (that the info person knew about) of human to companion animal infection. good to know. i was advised to wash hands, cough into tissues, and not touch my eyes, nose, mouth without clean hands.
i'm on call today, not tuesday and hopefully, they will spare me. the hospital manager saw me on my way out and heard my voice (which could be good if i was trying to impersonate stevie nicks or rod stewart)...he knows i'm still sick.
