numerous unconcerned staffers re: blood donation crashing episode
1 apparently "put out" receptionist when trying to schedule a physical
no treadmill availability on the weekends or nights because the gym isn't open or closes early
and i've had it.
i sent a check to NYRR (new york road runners) for the marathon 2004 training t-shirt. after waiting 3 weeks i inquire about my purchase and they inform me they never got the check!
i send another check. wait for a week and half. send an email and lo and behold, they never got the check. they keep asking what address i sent it to...i cut and paste the email they sent to me listing the address and amount...
finally, someone actually bothers to go looking for my check (one of them anyway) and finds it, lets me know and my shirt is now on its way..

i spoke to one trainer in person and over the phone regarding signing up for help with training..."right now i'm in the middle of the draft" (for pro-b-ball team that uses our facilities)" run into him and again...he's busy...
that was about 1 month ago. haven't heard a peep from him. i even see him, and he acts like he's clueless..
emailed another trainer for help with the upper body machinery. he opened the email and never responded...still hasn't.

you all already know the red cross hasn't bothered to see if i'm okay after my crashing on the way home. haven't heard a peep from their medical personnel.

and now, i had to call back after being rushed off the phone because the person wasn't available to help me until after 2:15...only to be greeted by a person at the other end that acted as if i asked her to run 1 mile to buy my lunch...

this lack of responsibility/committment/respect is EXACTLY why those maniacs were able to kill those 6 people in florida. people shuffle their feet, put off doing the job, get annoyed that they actually are being asked to do their jobs...
it matters folks. it matters that you actually clean the fucken toilet properly, open all of the mail, wash your hands after checking patients, answer someone's email asking for training help, process the parole violation reports or whatever to get the scum off of the street before he enrolls his friends to help him go on a killing spree...
dirty toilets...spread disease and usually annoy those who have to use them.
dirty hands...spread disease and get otherwise healthy people sick.
unopened mail...results in 2 checks issued for the same thing, now one is lost.
no help with training...results in injuries, poor preparation
no treadmill access...don't preach safety to me as a female runner when you do NOTHING to help me be safe by being closed when i need you to be open. i wouldn't be out running at 6am (because any later in the day and i'm dealing with stupid drivers, more pollution, and the heat from the sun)if the gym was open. i'd be on the treadmill, safe and sound.
bad attitude in answering the phone...makes me want to find another doctor.
i'm trying. really. i'm trying. but cripes...GIMME A BREAK!
