seriously. somewhat settled into the new apt. wow. it is nice to be able to be at peace. the old tenant left the place in pretty decent shape. the color of the livingroom walls is a latte brown with white trim. the dark wood and dark framed prints look great! the bedroom is a robin egg blue with white trim. i wasn't crazy about it until i moved my bed and furniture in (also dark wood) and i've got most of my plants in there as well. the two windows face the east so i get the rising sun. it is gorgeous in the morning. lots of sunlight, the nice blue coupled with dark wood furniture and hardwood floor and the green of the plants and blue bedding...well. i love it!!! the bathroom is a cream color so i bought a fabric shower curtain and vinyl liner in sage with a matching very soft bath mat. i have a metal coppery looking rack for my towels and nicknacks (seashells and candles) and i love that bathroom. great water pressure and hot water always available.
mr. tuxedo is looking pretty content with the place as well. he loves all the bird watching and often plants himself on the cat tree and "barks" at them. being on the third floor gives him lots of bird action. anyhow.
i'm still trying to recover from the move. managed to not lose any work hours. i didn't want to use up vacation time on moving. one bad thing. Cold Stone is now a block away instead of 7.
i may be adopting a cat that has been homeless for a few months now. he's an older cat, very laid back, dogs, other cats, people, don't bother him. he's a good boy. he deserves a better view than what's outside the cage.
we'll see how it goes.
