the importance of ignoring ignoramus views...
Mon Aug 20 2001

life is difficult enough without reading the racist crap that people write. remind me never to visit that diary again...

brown skin
caramel skin
milky skin
olive skin
bronze skin
freckled skin

give me the animals, they don't care who, what, how i am or what, how, who i'm with...they're happy with a full food dish and a scratch behind the ears, any color hands will do.

sit down and talk about it, and you'll discover that it's (hatred) all based on unfounded fears.

the one thing i love (and there are many)about my family is the simple fact that everyone who visits leaves with a bag of leftover dinner, goodies, and a kiss on the cheek from Mom. the evening entertainment is provided by my Dad telling his great stories. He was an army soldier who refused to let his buddies be placed in the back of the bus because they happened to have darker skin than he did. this was in the 40's.

what a hypocrit i'd be: as a latina and woman, to discriminate against someone else based on their ethnic background or sexual orientation. when ignorance becomes a race, then you can call me a racist.
