so the madness begins. i've already packed my books/music/knick knacks..., now comes the kitchen stuff. i can see myself living in that apartment for a long time, so i've gotten rid of a lot of junk/extra papers, notes, magazines i was holding onto. my goal is to not move junk i don't use to the new place.
i've got tonight, tomorrow and saturday off from work. so, i'll be hauling butt trying to get as much stuff packed as i can and try to move as much as i can by myself. my bro and 2 nephews will be helping the end of the month. saturday, i'll be driving to Mom's house to hang with her since i won't be there for Easter and i'll also borrow my brother's handtruck.

got little sleep today as i had a doc appt scheduled for 1pm. i worked overnight and got home around 9:30, but had to be ready and out the door before 12 noon as the doc office is in lower manhattan. i ate pasta for breakfast (overnight shifts really screw up your body) headed to bed for one hour so that i could be up by 11am, shower, and hit the bank before heading for the subway...since i would be signing my lease and paying first/last months rent. i walked into the doc office at 12:57pm... i think i was on the slowest train in nyc. the doc spent all of 15 minutes with me. very very upset about that. i mean, i work with vets. they spend ALOT of time talking with clients, answering questions and giving updates on client's pets. it amazes me how human medicine has become this 5 min consult so they can get maximum appts per day. sad. annoying. and NOT WORTH, the crazy co-pay.

got back home at around 3pm, headed to bed for more zzzzz and woke up at 6pm to get ready to meet the landlord, pay, sign lease, get keys.
back home (soon to not be home) and am chilling before i start packing some more stuff.

eventually, i'd like to take a vacation. perhaps sometime in july...
i also lucked out that the new apartment is only 8 blocks from where i live now and on the same ave.
thank you powers that be.
ciao!
