ah well, i'm too exhausted to care. i'm plowing through. i've got a list that i blew off this weekend that i have to get moving on...picking up my new contact lenses in the city, grocery shopping, more laundry...2...i need 2 of me.

watched the Diane Sawyer interview with Mel Gibson about his film The Passion of the Christ. what the heck is all the fuss about? i can not believe that the 'critics' can't give an audience the benefit of the doubt that they're asking him to put a message in there stating not to take agression out on Jewish people. hey, Mr. Critic...give me some credit to behave in a normal decent and human way.
were there riots when Roots came out? how about Schindler's List? or the Holocaust miniseries...(i watched Roots and The Holocaust). i was young and knew better not to be angry at 'white people' or whoever... and i can't believe that he got grilled for having such great faith in what he believes and yet the KKK have the right to assemble and parade through southern black neighborhoods without much protest... what the?
there is something profoundly crazy when a society throws money and support at say a program like "The Surreal Life", or television in general, while they skewer a man who uses most of his own money to direct a film about a critical part of a man's life...something that has had a profound effect on his own life.
and the complaints about all of the violence? give me a break! tune into the local news, put on HBO, go to the local theatre and you'll see people being drawn and quartered...
crucifixon is no walk in the park people.
and there is proof that many many people were crucified.
bottom line, as a director and artist, Mr. Gibson should not have been expected to prove that the Bible is complete truth. he's read it, believes it, and has directed a movie about a critical part in it. end of story. all of this bruhaha, is horse manure.
