live 8 or what the fuck was i thinking????
Mon Jul 04 2005

is the type of function i don't plan on participating in again. way too many folk and not enough room. i have to say that black eyed peas were pretty good, bon jovi rocked and macca wasn't that great. i missed u2, dmb, and def leppard, i caught pink floyd, green day, and annie lennox at home. wil smith is a doll.
kanye west is over-rated and what the heck is with the blinded backup female musicians? is he trying to be heady or what? (insert eye-roll here).

i won't even comment on destiny's child (insert another eye-roll here and a yawn)

all in all, i will say that i had a good spot and was surrounded by decent folk to my immediate N, S, E, and W. but there were knuckleheads present...stinking drunk, stoned out of their minds and, of course, chanting that fucken eagles chant every chance they got. this makes me wish that they never win a superbowl. septa, as usual, screwed the customer by offering "free" shuttle buses...if you parked about 1 mile and a half from the venue. this "free" shuttle turned into $4 and a ride to the subway station to hop on the market-frankford line to get you downtown..nice huh?! a bunch of effing crooks. and they wonder why they are hated. i have to wonder what happened to all of those folks who decided to hoof it...did they realize that they would eventually have to cross over to kelly drive?

some idiot brought a baby in a stroller and another couple brought their bulldog, who i really felt sorry for since it was way too crazy and very humid/hot. they actually ended up leaving before the show started.

for future reference:
1. never trust the weatherman's forecast
2. bring more water than you think you need
3. forget the towel and bring a chair
4. don't bother going if it's in the city of philadelphia.
