check...check 1, 2, 3...
okay. so, i've gone and set myself up to run a 4 miler this weekend on a day i have to work. i'll get up early in the AM, drive up north, run 4 miles with a bunch of other nuts who don't mind sweating buckets in this heat, run to my car after i cross the finish line, and drive back here to good ole brooklyn so that i can be in bed by 12pm and get some sleep before heading to work at 7pm.
:-))
the t-shirt is nice.
i'll be running a 7 miler tomorrow, most likely after i cart ms. Orangehead to the doc for a recheck bloodwork. i've picked the earliest appt available because i don't want her to be in the car during noontime rush in what promises to be a hot day. i may just run it on the treadmill although, i hate treadmill running. it's boring as hell. i've uploaded some good tunes though, got my hands on the New Moon soundtrack for only ONE song...and that's Thom Yorke's Hearing Damage (a great pace setter). the song wasn't available any other way. so, i placed the cd on hold through my library. i've also purchased some B-52 music and some Echo and the Bunnymen (Killing Moon) although, i like the Cutter and Never Stop as well. debating whether or not to get the Cure's Hot Hot Hot...another good get your ass moving song.
today is a take it easy day. the only task i've done is head via the subway to the upper east side to pick up my race bib and t-shirt. it was painful. i got used to not having to deal with all of the subway politics. people, when given the choice, will choose to be a horse's ass. i just don't have the will to fight against the tide for a f*cken seat. i'll stand for 15 stops.
so, i'll be chilling here, i'll watch An Education and continue with vol. 3 of Little Dorrit. and maybe dance a little in my new underwear...
;-P
ciao!
epitome of cool.
