never again. i hope this co-worker knows this. her 2nd vacation and she was hired months after i was... mostly mad at myself for agreeing to cover for her and not looking at the schedule. had i done that, i'd have realized that i signed up for five 12 hour shifts in a row.

currently apartment hunting. looking to move for May 1st. already alerted landlord that i'd be leaving. tired of crazy man upstairs and cancerman across the way. also, i need a bedroom with a freakin' door...since Vincenzo continues to pee on my bed.
cbc, chem/lytes were normal. tested neg for felv/fiv (always test him since Sheera (orangehead) was FIV +). Vincenzo's USG was 1.018 - low normal. he's scheduled for a dental this monday.

had a couple of disturbing emergencies come in. still kind of haunt me. little kitty 1 mo old that was accidentally stepped on. bloody nose and mouth and cold. kitty is doing alot better..24 hours later.
things to be proud of:
-got a cephalic iv cath (24gage) in the 1 month old kitty (jug wasn't an option due to head trauma)
-got a iv cath in a 3 mo old eng. bulldog that presented basically DOA.
-got a iv cath in a maltese that presented actively seizuring (gran mal)
-got a 16 gage iv cath in a neurologically inappropriate German Shepherd.
still haven't placed a jug or a sampling line...they don't like using back leg samplings (for good reason) so, i'm shooting to just be able to place a jugular
all in all, for being sleep deprived, i was on... we kept getting early morning(before the end of my shift) true emergencies... and i got what had to be done done. very proud of myself.

have the next 5 days off, since i was on for 5 days. will use this time to start cleaning up, throwing out, and checking out apartments. would like to find an apartment that allows dogs as well, been thinking about adopting a dog...(shelter dog of course). we'll see.
need to get lunch....i'm hungry.
ciao!
