woke up today and didn't want to acknowlege the sun. it's a beautiful day today. but it's all hollow.

keep watching the news, hearing it on the radio. students at the medical college i work at have donation boxes set up and are providing trips to the blood bank. the lines in nyc and in philly to give blood are long, long, long. doctors and nurses are on their way from all parts of this country.

where you saw hostility towards a nyc cop, now you see relief or grieving at losing them in the rubble. where neighbors bickered and fought, now they check in on eachother, make sure everything's alright...there are some people in this country that aren't happy with the U.S. military and U.S. government, with how so many have little and the few have too much...

well mr. terrorist man. you have no clue what you've done. i woke up thinking today...You've made glue. You've made American glue. You've brought the American people together in support of their military and government. You've brought us together in prayer. You've made everyday people heroes.

i don't believe there is anything more awesome and powerful than a country united, but i guess you'll find that out firsthand.

though such a tragedy, it warms my heart, too, to know that people are still capable of bonding together and helping each other in times like these. i thought of all of those police and firefighters lost and how that would impact the city.

***shakes head, doesn't know what to say***

The effect that this has had on our nation as a whole is staggering...but i am also interested on the effect this will have on the individual.
