...are spilling like crazy. i’m disgusted that this garbage is in the white house. anyone defending or rationalizing needs to really do some serious self examining at this point.

in other news… was at the ER last night bringing miss cat in…decrease-to no appetite, lip smacking, dull coat and weight loss. had gone to a vet on monday -an hour wait (overbooked) and only a 3-4 minute exam by the general practitioner - he ignored that i said she was nauseous, haircoat was looking dull/oily, NDR (not doing right) and all he focused was on her age and that i should think about glucosamine for her joints. WTF?

they pulled full bloodwork and urine (or so I thought). they sent me home with a fecal cup. Fuck the cup, shitting ain’t the issue here (weight loss, inappetence is). the visit was on monday. tuesday was a holiday. weds, thurs go by and friday - i finaly get bloodwork result.

but thursday, i brought her to the ER because she stopped eating and lost another .6 pounds from mon - tri. and this in addition to the 1.8 pounds she lost over 2 months. the ER doc was great. told me to hold off doing full bloods since i had already done that on monday. she had radiographs and ultrasound. so i went with the ultrasound (better in my opinion) and I medical boarded her because i really didn’t want to leave her alone today since i had to work and i wouldn’t be able to bring her back for the ultrasound because i had to be at work by 9am. so they ran a small blood work BG, electrolytes etc to make sure she wasn’t hypoglycemic. gave her sub-q fluids and scheduled her ultrasound for today.

oddly enough, the other place i brought her to call me asking for me to drop off a urine sample. i told them that i thought it was done since i asked while i was there if they’d be doing guided by the ultrasound. she kept insisting that i bring a urine sample so i told them i had to bring her to ER because she had stopped eating, was nauseous etc. i let her know i used to be a licensed vet tech and so i know that not using the ultrasound to poke a bladder can be dangerous. I told them that the specialty hospital would be taking over her case and asked them to forward the bloodwork to the new place.

she fucken has pancreatitis and that first doc was worried about arthritis. and the bloodwork was dated as competed on 11/11. they made me wait 3 days for results of my sick cat. i’ll never go back there and let those hacks touch my cat again.

why as a tech, i always preferred working in ER/Specialty hospitals. lots of smart people around.

so ms cat is hospitalized getting iv meds and fluids. fluids are magical - cats really perk up with fluid therapy.

will get an update tomorrow.

need sleep, only got about 3 hours and then had to get up to get ready for work today….so, need sleep
