feeling the blood leave my face, feeling clammy, and trying to make the stars, that come right before you pass out, go away. being stuck on a bus in rush hour traffic heading to the city wasn't much of a help either.
the last time i felt like this i was fully gowned and gloved standing under hot bright lights with a retractor in one hand and watching the doc fish for herniated disk particles along the vertebral column of a dachshund...those hotdogs are almost guaranteed back problems...
once i got downtown, i headed to the nearest food place, bought an OJ and bagel and sat on some stairs with my head between my legs. i half waited for some stunod to come bug me for something...i'm never disappointed. the promise of projectile vomiting usually scares these people away. ;-P
i had to go change an item i had bought that turned out was way to small. youth small sure as hell isn't the same as adult small. i've got pretty thin arms, i got the youth small on, but it was tighter than a wetsuit! yes. i broke down and bought an Under Armour long sleeve shirt (cold gear). pricey, but hey, i got my tax refund, i deserve 1 piece of primo athletic gear. this shirt and my sneaks are it. shows i'm damned serious about running that marathon or at least keeps me in check.
anyhow, i got home, ate dinner, called mom, ignored the neighbor who knocked at my door wanting to discuss my pathetic note for quiet (like what is there to discuss...either you'll be a little bit more considerate or stick to running the races at 1 am..) and headed for bed at 8 PM. yes. i slept from 8pm - 5:15am.
i feel SO much better.

i just finished a bag of Famous Amos chocolate chip cookies.
