so, i walked in to work to hanging fishnets trapping colorful mylar fish cutouts, and the cotton candy machine. this is my third stress-free friday! and the weather for both has been rainy and grey. this morning it was grey and threatening to rain, but i see that the sun has peeked a few of it's ray fingers through the grey clouds. :-) that's cool.
somehow sunshine always manages to smoothe over forehead wrinkles.

when i lived in brooklyn, i'd hop on the d train? or was it the c train? sheesh, i've forgotten, but i'd go out to brighton beach. (coney island was a hop skip and a jump away. i miss hoping on a train or bus and having access to a large body of water. or when i lived in upstate ny, i'd hop on my mountain bike, pack a lunch, plug into my walkman and hit the bike path that ran along the canal and find a nice spot where i could read quietly and watch as the boats with it's people sailed by...people on boats always wave...they are happy campers...i always wave back...but small boats make me green.
goals for today?
-pick up mom's purse from the shoe repair
-do a little food shopping
-hit the local library and check out the new books
(waiting for the lastest installment of the left behind series, i've read all of them so far)
-and loaf around at home (fuss with the cats, clean, laundry, nap, nap, nap, eat, nap! duck!!)
yes, a simple perhaps even boring life. and i'll enjoy every minute of it because once july hits, i'm toast.
'course i'll have a visitor soon. two words come to mind: ROAD TRIP
