holy crap.
i brought my stethoscope home because i'm supposed to give orangehead sub-q fluids (100 mls of LRS) well, last night and tonight, i've noticed that her respiratory rate is increased and her heart feels like it's pounding. so, i just listened to her heart and damn if i don't hear a gallop...
i'm not giving the fluids and have to wonder if they fluid overloaded her at the hospital...
crap.
i need to schedule that echo really soon.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Assess hydration twice a day (more often if copious amounts of urine or fluid diarrhea). Give sub-Q accordingly. If no apparent dehydration based on skin turger and gums, no reason to give sub-Q.
