the lottery was done as of 4 pm yesterday and it seems i've won myself a spot amongst the 10's of thousands that will run the NYC marathon this coming november.

i've been sitting on this since february (when i sent in my registration form) ...waiting, hoping, wanting the first marathon that i ran to be this one. and so begins the serious no messing around preparation to run this race and not only finish, but finish well.

it's been one of my goals for a while, to run a marathon before i turn 40. my chance is here. look out, woo-hoo, and YO!
