I went to the local mall for the pictures, because I camera shop I like just moved into the mall, and it was convenient to me. Ordinarily Iâm not a mall kinda chick, but convenience appeals to me. The shop had only been open at that location since Saturday, and I was apparently the first passport picture theyâd done at the new location. They had this nifty camera that sent the picture directly to the printer wirelessly, and getting things to work caused a few conniptions. They did eventually get it to work, but they ended up taking four different shots before they got one that fit specs. They gave me the other three for free; since these were for passports each was doubled, and so I got a total of six free shots for my trouble.
They also told me stories of people who had problems with their passports because of wearing glasses, and they suggested I take my glasses off for the pictures, which I did. Seems strange, since I now wear my glasses full time, but I can always take them off for Customs if I have to. It doesnât matter much at the moment, since I have no plans to go anywhere anyhow at the moment.
It occurred to me today that I have to get the name changed on our mortgage as well â that never occurred to me. I guess they can help me with getting the house deed changed. I am getting intimidated with exactly how many different things my name has become affixed to.
Little Black Shit came down with a case of kitty laryngitis over the weekend; I know Iâm supposed to be a vet, but I can honestly say that they never taught us that cats can get laryngitis. LBlS literally lost her voice for a few days (along with her appetite, poor thing). Just as she started getting better, the Little Grey Shit started losing her voice. LGS also developed a mild eye infection, leading me to believe that this is some warped kind of upper respiratory bug. I was more concerned about LGS because sheâs on steroid therapy, which suppresses the immune systemâs ability to respond (which probably explains why she has an ocular discharge when LBlS didnât develop one). Thanks to the pred though, LGS never lost her appetite. Iâm beginning to wonder what it would take to get that cat to stop thinking about food for an hour or two.
