I got home early yesterday. I'll pay for it today, but it will be worth it. A breakdown in one of the departments resulted in my day being truncated. We'll make up the time today, of course, but yesterday I was home at 5:00. It was still twilight out! I can't remember the last time I went home while there was still a bit of daylight about. Into each life some novelty must fall, I suppose, and yesterday was my shot at it.
I remain quite tired though, for whatever reason, and was once again in bed by about 8:00. I read for an hour, but fell asleep easily when I finally put down my book. The Socialist begins his return journey home this weekend, and I almost hate to see him come back quite so soon. He will not be happy to relinquish me to early bedtimes when he's back.
Thanks to whomever recommended my "Starfish" entry for Entry of the Week. I'm not sure how worthy it really was, in the face of much other fine writing I've seen at DD. It felt good to know that my entry resonated with other people, though. So, whoever you are, may the Starfish stay away from your territory, while your pearl grows ever larger.
