It would have been a wonderful thing, if I’d have offered to do it immediately instead of trying to leave the store at first. It was having to return to the back counter because of the lost glove that forced me to take an “I” rather than “them” approach to responsibility.

Apparently this was something the universe was asking me very politely to attend to. When I refused the first time, the universe asked a second time. One flaunts the will of the universe at one’s own peril.
