I get to add one more condition to my personal list of "been there, done that". My A1C came back as clearly diabetic.

This isn't funny anymore.

I'm so sorry this has happened. As we age it becomes more likely, and you did just have a birthday. ;-) Happy belated birthday, my friend. In spite of the diabetes. I've been living with it for 13 years now. But I'm lucky. I can eat whatever I want and still have an A1C under six. Hopefully some Metformin will straighten you out and you won't have to mess around with insulin.
