Because it's my birthday ...
Mon Jun 10 2002

... and I'm sitting all by myself at the computer, I've decided to take Slipperman's "What the Hell, Part 2" survey.

A - Age: 46 (newly minted)
B - Best Quality: I know how to bide my time waiting to get even.
C - Choice Of Meat: beef
D - Dream Date: A no show
E - Exciting Adventure: Cardiac ICU - I don't recommend it to anyone, but it's exciting
F - Favorite Food: mashed potatoes
G - Greatest Accomplishment: Making it through vet school without killing anything/body
H - Happiest Day of Your Life: Working on making it today. If I fail, I'll try again tomorrow.
I - Interests: Science fiction, computer stuff, miniature golf, the zoo, opening presents, listening to music, baubles, adult recreational activities.
K - Kool-Aid?: I think I've outgrown Purple Jesus, which was the only good thing I could ever find about Kool-Aid.
L - Love: What is love? 'Tis not hereafter. Present mirth hath present laughter. What's to come is still unsure. So kiss me, sweet and twenty. Youth's a stuff twill not endure. Or something like that.
M - Most Valued Thing I Own: The things I most value I do not own. The cats (who own themselves, make no mistake), the Professor, my passing sanity. Assuming that those things made it out of the burning just fine, the first thing I'd try to save would be my Gorey print.
N - Name: *****
O - Outfit You Love: A long moss colored dress with dragonflies with translucent wings
P - Pizza Toppings: Black olives and bacon. Extra cheese and anchovies if I'm with someone who isn't going to complain the whole time about the little fishies.
Q - Question Asked To You The Most: Does that have an "e" on the end?
R - Request a song on the radio: Why? My radio station does a great job of managing their playlist without my help.
S - Sport To Watch: Fooey! I wanted to say "synchronized lemmings" but Slipperperson beat me to it!
T - Television Show: Enterprise (mostly because it's the only show I watch.
U - Ur Favorite movie: "Bridge on the River Kwai", subject to change with no notice. In fact, maybe it's Casablanca. "Here's looking at you, kid."
W - Winter: Yes, we get it. Once a year, whether or not we want it.
Y - Year Born: 1956
Z - Zodiac Sign: Gemini

You know how you can hear about something for the first time, and then suddenly you see or hear it everywhere and wonder how you went so long not having known about it? "The Bridge on the River Kwai"... I'd never heard of that movie until the other day - it was in the NY Times puzzle, and S knew the answer and told me about the movie, which I'd never heard of. Now it's in your entry today!

*giggles* Cats are smart animals, aren't they?

Once, Ted got stuck between the storm door and the other door when he was a kitten. Don't know how, but the meowing led me to the door and I opened it, and out he came.

Nice entries. I think it's funny how CW just hid in the box but I'm wondering about something: how did you call him? Do you always call him "Clueless Wondeeer" around the house or just "CW" or "kitty kitty"? LOL

LoL @ the book club. They're messing with the wrong person.

    Love

My brother snagged his employer the same way. Nobody uses his first name except the USPS, and he suddenly started getting junk mail using his name spelled out the way they have it in their employment records instead of the way all the other junk mailers spell it. COuld you imagine your employer selling your name to marketers?

How creepy..I have told myself that those "privacy" claims were authentic..but this gives me the creeps. I've never seen "Laurence of Arabia," but "Bridge over the River Kwai" is a classic. I remember reading it in highschool! Alec Guinness is a wunderful actor.. Sounds like you appreciate old films..

Nice flowers! Your living room looks so cozy and I really dig the wooden cabinet in the background, it's so beautiful!

LOL @ CW. AND your weights that have been neatly placed under the desk *grins*. I'm sure they're there so that you could exercise while you're doing work on the computer, right? :D

    Have a nice evening!

Love the pic of CW...and the flowers, aw, that was nice.
Maybe you should side line as a detective?? I have all but given up with unwanted email. Every once in awhile I get mad and fight it, but it is a losing battle.

The Prisoner?!? You mean the TV series? Oh, that was one of my favorites, and I haven't seen it since I was a kid! I just mentioned it in my diary the other day. "Lawrence of Arabia" is my husband's all-time favorite movie.

If I ever get a choice about what car to buy, it'll be a hybrid--either that or a Jaguar. ;)

    Beautiful flowers!

    adult recreation activities? very nice.

the thing about sychronized lemmings is it's a sport that most of us can or have participated in and watched for most of our lives. i was both a participant and player when i went to target yesterday. boy scored in the 'mcdonald's drive-thru' competition.
