Liver Update

Liver Waiting List for my Center, as of Feb. 7, 2003:

Total: 414
Liver Status 7 (Inactive): 45
Liver MELD / PELD <10: 239
Liver MELD / PELD 11-18: 120
Liver MELD / PELD 19-24: 10

It looks as though I'm one closer to the top. So far as I know, my MELD is still 18. I've got a call pending to get my new score from the Big City Hospital from last week, but no response yet.

It sems a strange thing to say, but if I could only get a little bit sicker, I'd be in good shape on the list.

Because of yesterday's snowfall, some organs that were scheduled to be flown out of the city's airport were unable to leave. Some people waiting for kidneys locally got unexpected boons because of this. In all, five kidney transplants and a heart transplant were performed yesterday in the city.

Of course, I'm curious as to what happened to all the livers.

    How funny about Kitten's toy stashes. Almost like a dog burying a bone. At least she doesn't leave potholes like a dog when she stashes her toys!

    I've had enough of the white stuff, thanks, and we don't have anywhere near as much as you do. If we have any more snowdays, I just might move my little family even further south.

    Your white stuff has been all over the news here for days!
    I hate the thought of you getting sicker, but then I love the thought of you getting your new liver.
    I have also worried your liver might show up during the snow too.
    Funny about the toy stash...had to laugh at Allimom's comment.

    You know what, Im missing my 2 favorite pens.The terrible two are always after them, and I never thought about that possibility. Hmmm....think I will go do some searching.

    The snow sounds awesome.How could you possibly complain???

    Sorta weird feeling like you have to get worse, to get better. Hugs!!

    Ok ok..... I said in the above comment "how could you possibily complain".Well, I wrote that and then started reading back as I was behind in your diary.LOL, now I sort of understand. Thats a lot of snow!!

    That Kitten is pure entertainment. Ringo is like that. Never a dull moment.

    We didn’t get quite as much snow. We ended up with the fringe.
