LBlS came through surgery fine; apparently she had a three inch hairball lodged in her stomach. With luck, that's the cause of the problem and not another symptom. She's doing fine in recovery, and with luck we'll get to see her after nine o'clock tonight.

I stopped by Goodwill and bought a light blue newborn onesie for her when she comes home. I like them better than e-collars for post-surgical cats, though you do have to be around supervising the cat if it only has the onsie on. It's got to be more comfortable than an e-collar.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for the wee kitty. And for your employment, too.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all turns out well for her. If only they could talk, how many times have we said that?

A three-inch hairball?!? Wow! I hope she recovers from surgery quickly and gets back to being the LBS you know and love soon.

(*vows never to get annoyed at The Evil Cat hacking up her own hairballs ever again*)

My best wishes to LBlS on her speedy recovery. The thought of a cat in a onesie almost makes me want to run down to the thrift shop and buy one just to put it on Fred! I'd put it on Kitten, but I think she'd cut me for trying!

You'll find the right work soon, I know you will. I have faith in you and your abilities.

Yay for the giant hairball! So much better than many of the alternatives.

Like you I hope the hairball is the cause and not the symptom and that she has a swift recovery. Cats are strange. They'll turn their noses up at the best offering of food they could possibly get and then eat a milk jug ring or lick a plastic bag nearly to death *rolls eyes*.

God save us if they develope thumbs and discover Twitter.

hope she's back to her old self soon. must look very cute in a onesie, but they also look cute in the e-collars as well.

    That is such a relief!

Love the idea of a cat in a onesie. Too bad we didn't have something similar for doggie when he had the benign skin tumor removed from his side/back. I wonder what size he'd wear. *grin*

Thank goodness that was all it was!!!
If only things could be so easy for me. Apparently the new corrective shoer that my mare liked last month is no longer on her like-list. Right now she has a very sore chin and mouth from him using a chain on her this morning. I'll be lucky to get the bute in her tonight. She won't even let me inspect her mouth. I am not happy.

What a cute idea the onsie is. I hope I remember that if I ever need one. I hope LBS makes a fast recovery.
