Salamander
Fire Walking

Why I chose "Salamander"
Thu May 24 2001

There's an old wive's tale that a salamander can pass through fire unharmed. In real life, many salamanders can shed their tail to escape danger, essentially giving up a less critical part of themselves to save everything that is important. Salamanders go through a metamorphic life cycle, changing from one aspect to another as they grow. And Salamander is a rather clever play on my real name. It seemed too good to pass up.
