Boxing myself in.

Still avoiding the forum that was getting me so bent out of shape. Found another place to post, where some of the people from the old forum visit once in a while. Nothing there to trigger my anger, nothing to trigger tears, nothing to turn me into an ogre, unfit to be company to anyone.

I was pleased because that new forum was getting more active. More people to meet, some old friends dropping by, jokes and bantering, lighthearted. It was getting comfortable.

Then someone from the old forum discovered I was at this new URL. He asked why I wasn't at the old site any more, and I offered a small explanation that I wanted a breather. He kept picking, and picking, and picking at me. After offering him several different levels of pablum, I finally told him why I wasn't posting there now. In no uncertain terms. Had a nice little hissy fit that, if read the right way, will ensure that at least half of cyberspace will no longer talk to me. Set myself up good and proper that I dare not show my face at this new forum either.

Damn it. Why can't people just leave things be? Why can't I just leave things be?

Soon the prof will be swigging whiskey, at this rate :o)~

I'm glad you had a good time. I hope you didn't scare her with troll photos. She'll never come near NJ!

Don't take it that seriously S. The guy was just being curious and didn't understand the depths of your feeling. I'm sure he'll leave the subject be after this, so no reason to avoid the new forum.

And by the way, do you understand why people are posting at the new forum now instead of the other forum?

Ah, come on, just face it. We, at DD, were meant to be your only cyber-network of friends. LOL. But seriously, you said it in your earlier entry, about the true friends you can make online (ie your visitor from Norway). Those that really considered you their friend will not stop talking to you just because of some conversation you had with someone else online. :)

i have never met any of my 'net friends face-to-face. i hope that will change when Feedback starts doing some out of town gigs.

Sounds like you had a pleasant time. You deserve that.
