Thank you for your individuality, your loyalty, and for all the stories you've starred in. Your people will miss you greatly, but you left a cat-shaped hole in other hearts as well.

    BassPlayer was home for lunch when I got notified about this, so he saw it, too. We both thank you very, very much for this, and for your encouraging words elsewhere. They mean a lot, coming as they do from someone with your own background in veterinary medicine.

    And no, it's not too early to joke. As I told someone else, I'm sure that if there's a cat heaven, Vogue is probably trying to put the fear of God into God himself right now. Heh. :)
