A happy ending.

I continually underestimate The Prof [insert head hung in shame here]. He got things fixed with the apartment management this morning, and they've agreed to extend our lease for an additional month, which is all we need to accomplish the move. No penalties, no grief, no problems. The Prof brought the paperwork over for me to sign just now at lunch. We ran out and grabbed a quick fast-food meal together. Definitely a nice change of pace. Now we just need a confirmation from the new place, and we're set!

My mind boggles at all that must be done in the next few months to get ready for this.

I managed to talk The Prof out of our weekend getaway this weekend. We'll just bump it to next weekend, but that gives me time to pull things together and get a few things done around the apartment that definitely need attending to. We will try to make a day-trip on Saturday, though. I already have a place in mind.

    Bad kitties. :) One of the advantages of having a dog, of course, is that my tabletop is safe. Dance as he may (and does), he can't quite negotiate that hazard.
