The Snow bears had yet another pillow fight
Sat Feb 06 2010

So lessee. Interstate 95 south is closed just north of The Big City. Interstate 476 has several accidents, with lane closures. Train and bus service is suspended. The airport is closed. And the condo hasn’t been plowed out yet. To paraphrase Dylan, I ain’t going nowhere.

My car’s in there. Somewhere. And we’re looking at the protected side of the car. I haven’t had the guts to go out and see what the other side looks like.

I haven’t bothered checking the mailbox. The mail truck isn’t making it into our lot anyhow.

Can’t even escape through the back door. I’m guessing between twelve and fourteen inches on the deck.

Fresh scones and a pot of Keemumn seemed like a good idea.

It makes for pretty pictures! Especially the last one - a lovely contrast between warmth and comfort indoors and the frigid outdoors. And fresh scones are always a good idea.

In the meantime I'm whinging about the heat...

Wow! That's a LOT of snow! It may be very confining, but it sure is a pretty view. Also, lovely tea set. The handles are so delicate. They'd last in my house about 3.5 seconds. My son is a bull in a china shop. What else should I expect from a Taurus born in the Year of the Ox?

If we could dig out of here all the way, we'd come to your place to have scones, too. But since we can't...sigh...

RYC: your're right in that it's usually found in younger people but his father was diagnosed with type 1 in his late 30s and given the fact that he doesn't fit the profile for type 2 (over weight, poor diet, inactive, etc) and his sugar is so high, she's fairly certain it's type 1, just waiting on the rest of the bloods to come back for confirmation. There have also been recent studies that suggest a viral trigger for it in adults.

OMG...that is way too much snow!!! We have hardly had any ice/snow this year at all, so far I haven't needed my studded tires and could have saved the money. Hopefully some of that has melted by now but from what I have been hearing, it hasn't.
I like your idea of tea and scones.
