I'm up for a big job. A former veterinary school professor/mentor/friend has put my name up for the quality assurance position that has become available at Big City Veterinary School. This person would be responsible for auditing the lab to make sure it stays in compliance for its accreditation as a state lab. It is a perfect mesh with my prior experience, since I was in charge of making sure we stayed in compliance with state and national accreditations at my former job. Apparently I'm the only applicant being considered who isn't already on the payroll of B.C.V.S., and I'm the only applicant being considered with HACCP experience. Professor Mentor told me yesterday that they are meeting Friday to consider the applications.
I really want/need this job. So I'm pinning way more hopes on it than I should. It would mean that the stupid Pharmacy Technician course would have been little more than a time filler, but that's OK. I could live with that.
Anyhow, future cranky warning: When I don't get the job Friday I am going to be miserable to be around this weekend.
