Study Break
Wed Apr 20 2011

The national certification test looms. I've got three more classes left in the course, followed by four days to cram, a dentist appointment the morning of the big day, and then the test. There is a lot of information to review, and we still haven't covered four chapters in the book. Tomorrow I'll try out a practice exam the instructor handed out Tuesday; hopefully that will help me fine-tune what I should be concentrating on for my reviewing.

Today the weather taunted me, so I compromised this evening by studying on the deck. I surprised myself by actually getting a full chapter done, as well as making a dent on the review book provided by the course.

The shadows are getting long now, and the robins duking it out for prime territory fifteen feet from the deck finally proved too much a distraction. I set the books aside for just a little bit of "now" time. The deck is on the eastern side of the house, so I can't actually see the sun setting, but the air is beginning to chill, and a few of the cars going by have their headlights turned on. I need to start thinking about packing up the books and dragging them inside, but I'm not quite willing to give up this perfect spring evening yet.

I agree. That is a nice picture. The glasses are pretty cool, too.

    Enjoy the evening!

You remind me of myself lately. It's been a little chilly but I'm fighting for my deck time. Mine is at least on the west side of the house so I can hang on a little longer before the chill runs me indoors.

It's been a long winter and we need some fresh air but I could do without the robins. They're getting quite aggressive about my deck belonging to them.

RYC: It was one of those icky scrapes that don't bleed, they just bring blood nearly to the surface and start a huge bruise. I'll probably live and fare better than those poor employees who saw me almost nekkid

I agree, that is a fantastic photo of you, the best I've ever seen! That lady does not have, as you have said before, "a face for radio." That lady has a relaxed, kind and loving face-- the perfect face for a veterinarian and a wonderful friend.

I've got to say, I LOVE your shirt! Is it short, mid, or long sleeve? Love that color purple.

Enjoy your evenings out in this weather!
