Waiting
Tue Jul 20 2010

The hummingbirds have made their return, although their nest is definitely history. I've spied them in the garden among the Liatris and Physostegia. The bees and butterflies all seem to prefer the Liatris, but I've only seen the hummingbirds at the Physostegia so far.

Since the plants are a scant two to three feet from my living room window, I've harbored hopes of getting some hummingbird pictures through the screen. So far, no joy. It hasn't been a lonely wait though. Indeed, I figure I might have actually gotten some pictures by now if it hadn't been for the "help".

I don't do anything around here without feline or canine "help" *rolls eyes* so good luck with it!

LOL- I don't dare feed the hummingbirds or any birds for that matter with my two cats. Almost every morning it seems like there is the remains of a robin, squirrel or baby rabbit. Darn those cats, I can't keep them in at night, they know it is good hunting out there. Finally caught up with you. Your bead making sounds like fun even if you have been frustrated. I have been trying to follow patterns with my beading that are only suppose to take 6 hrs. HA, try 16 or more. Even so, I find beading relaxing. Thinking back on your entries---we have not had much of a summer here at all. Mornings are very cool (low 50's) and I would estimate not much more than four weeks of sun if you add the days together from Mayish. And that is the Portland area. Yesterday while posted in a parking lot I noticed the trees are already changing color, they think it is fall. WAH.

Thanks for your comment. I think you are right, but I've been noticing more and more that one has to watch every letter in every word, or someone will get offended.
    Very insightful,
    God bless you,

RYC: Thanks for the link, I really appreciate it!

P.S. when I clicked on your entry to reply the same song snapped into my head as it did when I first read it. Tom Petty's "The Waiting". It's the hardest part, dontchya know?
