My hanging petunia basket seems thrilled with the cool, moist weather we're being treated to today. I deadheaded a few petunias, but virutually everything in the planter is a full bloom or bud, so there wasn't much pruning to do.
This is how my place looks at present. Hanging basket, primroses blossoming merrily away, morning glories poking their heads out of the soil an inch or two ... who could ask for anything more? Certainly not me. That lovely blue car at the right of the picture is my little Prius, by the way.
Here's what my little morning glories should grow up to be. I took the seeds from all the packets and mixed them together, then simply planted randomly. The only things not up yet are the moonflowers, which I spaced semi-evenly along the border and marked with little stakes (actually, I used wooden shish-kabab sticks, but the moonflowers won't know the difference).

While I was outside taking pictures and doing my thing, my three nosey-pusses had their kitty noses pressed to the glass. I swear, if those three could talk they'd end up being the local gossips and a primary source for this apartment complex's news. As an added bonus, I see that I'm in the picture too. I'll pretend I was going for an arty picture and intended it to come out that way.
