I was checking my site meter yesterday, as I am prone to do when I'm bored and feel like poking around a bit, when I found this URL in the visit detail section as one a referral page:

Am I the only one who has never heard of "BlogShares" before?

As near as I can tell, you register your diary at this site, and then can trade in shares in your own or in other diaries. I don't fully understand the concept, and I'm not particularly interested in it. What does concern me though is that someone apparently registered my diary at this site without my permission. After reading their privacy statement at http://www.blogshares.com/privacy.html I can't claim to be any too comfortable with having my blog stored there. And I sure as hell want to know what "personal information" they have on me.

If anyone out there actually understands what this site is about, I'd appreciate an explanation.
