High as a kite
Wed Jun 26 2002

Dogs come when they're called;
cats take a message and get back to you later.

— Mary Bly

My kite arrived in the mail today! Kite (with fanny pack), string, spool ... all tucked away safely in the trunk of my car. Now I stare out my office window at the absolutely still, hot morning (80 degrees already, and headed for 95 F) and mourn that I didn't think to order this months ago.

Went to the gym last night for half an hour of biking, half an hour of treadmill. I bumped the bike up a bit more on the load and didn't notice it at all. It must have hit me though, because I had to step the treadmill back from 4.2 to 4.0 mph. I was absolutely soaked in sweat by the time I was ready to leave. How can those little spandex ditzes wing their way through their regimen without mussing a single hair? *grumble*
