My favorite radio station is doing a "top 885" song countdown. I'm not entirely sure what number they're down to now, but they started this morning and won't end until Friday sometime. They just played In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida. The long version. Simon and Garfunkle's "Homeward Bound" has just started. It's a very surrealistic blast from the past moment.
Ah. In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida was #706. S&G was #705. And the Beatles will be next at #704 with "Eight Days a Week". Now there's some trivia for you. Eight Days a Week is supposedly the first song to use a fade out.
Music is good. Numbered music is better. It keeps you from thinking.
