Please, Not Today, But…
Fri Apr 18 2025

I got home from dialysis around 3:10 pm today and I had to wait for another half hour for her and my neighbor Marie in tow grocery shopping for me as I needed eggs, bread, a few things I had run out already since my major grocery shopping day at the beginning of the month … always on the 3rd or within that week. I also need to get some things on Amazon for ChromeBook Pro (my windows laptop I use once in a while). Today, due to the time I got hooked up to my machine at 11:48 am and getting off around 2:45 pm, I was not really thrilled that I had to wait for another half an hour for Jackie to get to the building because she chose to take over an hour to go across town grocery shopping for me. Also, always having Marie, my neighbor (literally next door in #315, lol) with her. I really don’t mind what Jackie does on her time, but some days I am overwhelmed, tired, and do not want company invading my space. When I am moody, I don’t want to be stimulated by bright lights and conversation because sometimes my body and eyes feel overstimulated after a while. I prefer having no lights on around me unless I am reading a book for awhile. My phone and iPad give enough light and so doesn’t my tv. I like the dark as well. It is warm in my apartment because I am on the 3rd floor and heat rises, and my apartment faces the sunny side of the building that faces the Main Street and across the street is our Rock River. Garden Court Apartments is right on Main Street—downtown Janesville. I like it here enough to be come and go from here, but I am waiting to move from here because the management and maintenance is not the greatest around here. Garden Court has lazy maintenance workers. I have needed a new air conditioner since last summer, but maintenance says it workd just fine. Oh no it doesn’t, my electricity bill is $117 as my budget billing with Alliant Energy. It’s ridiculous people!
