I just got a call from my IRIS worker DKF telling me she will be a little late because her vehicle slid into a ditch on the road from her last client’s home. Also, finding this out, a tow truck may not get to her for an hour. Dialysis may not happen today, but DKF wants me to wait until 7:45 AM before I call the dialysis center again to let them know I will not be there today. When DKF and I talked, it sounded like she may have hit a patch of ice on the road that made the vehicle go into the ditch. I asked her if her car was damaged, and she said no. I guess we will find out for sure after she is out of the ditch.
