I have two birthdays to announce: Happy birthday to my mom and happy birthday to my friend SS. My mom is a very special lady.  We talk once a week or whenever it can be done otherwise.   SS is my ex-boyfriend today but we have a friendship relationship that is strong and meaningful. There are other birthdays today, of course, and they have a shout out as well.
