am feeling caught up in my thoughts now. At least, I think so anyway, LOL. What a day it turned out to be. My day, I have had a variety of things going on. I rarely sit in the lobby because of the gossip in an apartment complex like Garden Court Burbank Plaza. Living at Garden Court has its moments of disasters from time to time around me. I am not a part of gossip.
Today, JP and I went downstairs to visit with the neighbors who congregate in the lobby regularly while we did a couple of loads of laundry. Tenants love to talk about other tenants. It is fine when it comes to a tenant falling ill and is in hospital or has died due to illness or unexpectedly, but talking about a tenant outside is unacceptable. A couple of tenants do not like one another, and there can be a rift between them occasionally. I can see where a tenant says to another tenant, ‘Do not be rude.’ The other tenant did not understand that she was being rude. I get it, but if my caregiver said the one tenant was being rude and was called on by the tenant who said she was rude, it is a fact. I thought the tenant was harsh, making a wise crack remark that was unnecessary. When gossip and rumors start flying about, I am usually not a part of it anymore. I do not want to be associated with such nonsense at all times. We had a visitor for a few minutes because this neighbor needed to talk to JP. We understood the neighbor’s complaint about her distaste for a neighbor who does not like her sister, yet we saw and heard what happened downstairs in the lobby. We did not say anything to the neighbor, though. We wanted to keep peace among our friends. The neighbor’s sister did make a rude remark that was not necessary. I wish everyone could get along for five minutes at times before drama ensues. JP did tell the neighbor that her sister was being rude.
It is time for me to get going for the night. ‘Yawn.’ It is bedtime now. Another therapy and dialysis treatment is tomorrow. I cannot be tired or cranky during those appointments I’m. Good night.
