Caught Up Again

I do have to admit that I am catching up to my journaling once again. Another catch up moment has occurred in my world today. LOL! Anyway, caught up once again, hehehe…

Birthday Party Celebration for Diane and Me

Today, another tenant named Diane had a birthday today. Heather, a worker for a couple of ladies in the building had decided to have a birthday party for Diane. Since my birthday fell in the same month, Heather invited me as well. How sweet to include me. Thanks, Heather…

For the party, there was cake, a cup full of snacks, tinsel, and gifts from Heather. I got a prism and a Hello Kitty t-shirt. The shirt may not fit right now, but I love it.

Went to the Library

Deb and I went to the library. Yes, we have a library on South Main Street in Janesville, Wisconsin. I got a book by John Grisham and another from James Patterson today. I live to read while at dialysis these days.

Children’s Story Time

At the library, a high school colleague named Jamie does children’s story time. I decided to see Jamie work her Magic keeping the young kids engaged in story time and seeing her with the kids was pretty cool and fun to see. Even the little girl inside me loved story time, as I rolled my eyes at the idea for a few seconds. Jamie got me and Deb involved in story time as well with props she used in story time. There was a clown who would come at the beginning and end of story time by the kids waking him up from sleepy nap. The story today was about a baby beluga while seeing his friends in the ocean. The kids sang songs and jumped about. It was fun being a part of the kid's story time, and I will do it again. I will not sing and jump about, but next time I go with Deb and Jackie and Jamie is doing story time, I will be participating more even I am in a power chair. The kids enjoy themselves with Jamie! It was a joy to see. No more rolling of the eyes because Jamie has been doing this for years, and I remember story time in high school being a part of it. I learned of my kidney disease, and had to stop. I will see about volunteering my time in the future, though. I don’t want to be paid monetary.
