I'm not unhappy that DD doesn't exist anymore. I can write, yet, because SB has found another way to keep people in the loop. It is just for patreons who are paying for using WordPress. I get it. $3 a month is worth it. Those who are not paying $3 a month will no longer have an account will be missed. I do hope to see others again in the future. When certain things happen online, we take risks sharing our personal information with strangers who will take our data and run with it.

It has been a while since I last wrote because DD no longer exists. Before I get used to the setup I have now, it will be a while because the format has changed in the past several days. Change and I have to get better acquainted. I do not handle change very well unless you give me time to accept it. I prefer notices that changes are happening. I don't mean to be frightened of change; I do not handle change very well when it is immediate without warning. Do I seem cruel, frightened, and too anxious?

    My apologies for the lack of notice - I definitely understand it can be a bit worrisome when you're not expecting it. You'll get the hang of it, it's not overly dissimilar to the previous system for you, though there is more flexibility - and therefore more power... But you know where I am if something breaks or you need a hand with something.

    I do have to admit that I am liking this system. As you work out the quirks in the system, I will sit back and do what I love doing most here. This change, although we DD diarists and bloggers were warned about DD being moved, is for the best. Now that I know where to go, I am doing okay. It would have been devastating if DD was gone for good. Thank you for your hard work outside your job in the medical field -- if that is what you still do.

    It is indeed what I still do for the real job :) I'm glad you're finding your way around. I've finalised the latest updates for the front page too - so you can find each other at least. Perhaps there's other ways of finding each other that would be nice too, but I'll leave that to you guys to suggest what you want :)
