I am not going into any details about what happened 23 years ago and I will not even write about it.  A high school colleague called me and asked me to make a wrong right again so I promised him I would.  I told him I will take care of the problem first thing in the morning and call the right channels to take care of the wrong to make it right again.  This high school colleague said he is not mad at me or anything.  We can still remain friends.
