Although I have written other entries in DD about what happened today at the dentist, I am not happy with how things went today. I was 25 minutes late to my appointment and I was glad that Jackie’s (my caregiver) aunt Aunt Mary took my place, and I saw the dentist after her instead. The dentist, while we were getting ready to take x-rays of my teeth, the dentist Dr. McAvoy said do not worry about it, so we got in a dental room, and told no need to transfer as the doctor explained that since I do not want to be feel any pain that he is not going to take me on as a patient because he wants to have me talk someone about anesthesia. He wants me to talk to someone in a hospital setting. To me, even being late which is unacceptable for medical appointments of most kinds anyway, I was not happy nor impressed with this dentist. He looked at me and judged me so quickly. I have decided to, once I got home, not recommend anyone else to Dr. McAvoy to other people at this time no matter how good he is. I was, again, not impressed with him. Also, with Aunt Mary’s case is different, I do not feel comfortable with her going to him either. With her case, I feel bad for her because she has COPD because Grandma Myra had the disease.

- From:Wrenchman366On:Sun Feb 02 2025Do you think maybe he does not have access to anesthesia for you and without it there could be pain so maybe he was just playing it safe and thinks you may be better with dental surgeon and anesthesia and perhaps his setting will not permit that , just a thought
