As I Continue to Format My Journaling to My Specifications…
As I sit here making sure my journal is formatted to my specifications for the month of September, I am keeping up with my journaling the best I can today. I decided to skip breakfast this morning so as soon as I got dressed for the day and in my power chair for our little outing to return the library book in its drop box outside the closed library due to it being Labor Day weekend, I wheeled myself down the street from my apartment with Deb walking with me while she talked to her friend from Minnesota who called while I was getting dressed for the day and outing. It was a beautiful morning for getting out before the noon hour. After dropping the book off at the library’s drop box, then go to the Mexican grocery store across the street from the old Marshall Middle School on S Main Street to look around. Deb and I found the store aisles hard to maneuver with my power chair so I went outside to wait for her to grab a yellow pepper and some chips for a snack with my cheese and sausage for supper instead of crackers, cheese and sausage. I slight change in supper plans while I had two hamburger patties with American cheese slice, cauliflower with cheese, and some rice for lunch today. Remember, I skipped breakfast today… Then Deb and I headed back home where I went back to my bedroom within a half an hour of returning home and Deb began preparing my lunch for the day, and I got comfortable back into bed when Deb had time to help me get undressed for the day to get back into bed for the rest of the day and evening of my day . It was the perfect weather of the beginning of the fall weather. Now, the weather was perfect for the day.,
While Deb and I were out and about, her friend on the phone, Lisa, went with us and we both talked to her while Deb had her on the speaker for over an hour. Lisa lives in Minnesota and she always call Debbie while she’s at work, lol. My workers can accept personal calls from friends and family, but keep them doing their job working or slowing them down is NOY acceptable. They have to keep up their work pace or they will have to talk to their caller later. I run a tight ship otherwise because I have a schedule to run, too. I have things I want to do at times as well, and one of things I do miss is working outside the home these days, but my changing disability has stopped me from working outside the home for now. Sometimes I feel I have time to waste in journaling, but I really don’t have time to waste because I have felines to spend time with, too, and I will drop everything to spend time with them, too. Their attention span is very short at times and I can back to my time with them…YOU BET your life I WOULD!
Microwave Died Over the Weekend
While Deb was working, she noticed the microwave got hot on the side of the microwave and the display showing the time had gone blank. Oops, that means the outlet blew a fuse or the microwave has died. She unplugged the microwave and we will check on it in the morning in order to find a new one, which we came to find out about doing in the morning. It was really nothing to worry about at the moment and to do the necessary precautions of it not starting a fire between the outlet and microwave by unplugging the microwave from the wall. Deb did that and we did check the microwave Sunday morning and the display turned on and she tried to warm up an egg wrap they did not get warm at all. We then knew the microwave was dead and I needed a new one. We told Jackie all about it and she found one at Sam’s Club for $70 and got it, and brought it over. Now I have a new microwave and the other one is being thrown away where it needs to go in the right way. Since it is an electronic, we need to dispose the microwave that died properly. It costs $15 to take it to the landfill. Expensive, but doable. Such a need to have! Ugh! Whoever invented the microwave, I would love to thank him! But he’s gone now since 1970–Percy Spencer. Shucks! Well, I thank him this way in my journal 55 years later after his death I guess. 👍🏻❤️😊 I guess …
Anyway……
The Rest of My Monday
I am in bed now and decided to watch a couple of horror movies on Primetime tv channel app. Smile being one of them. Spooky enough to scare me? Hell, yeah. A specialist in mental health gone nuts is spooky and frightening. It was kind of a dumb and straightforward type of movie. I don’t recommend watching it because it was an obvious movie. I will not watch it again. So, when Deb and I got back from the Mexican food store, I went back to bed so-to-speak, and enjoyed time watching tv and relaxing. I was not in the mood to do much today. I even changed my mind about going out today during my night of very little sleep, but I did get out for an hour today. I did enjoy myself. For a day that is considered a holiday and some things are closed to observe the holiday. Now, onto what needs to be done this week—dialysis, dental appointment to remove my upper teeth, and to have the best week possible starting at 5:10 AM Wednesday morning! Not looking forward to the dentist appointment at 7 am, either! Not sure what think about such a busy week ahead starting tomorrow. I can’t have Jackie to myself until Friday! Ugh!
Good Night!
Time for 💤 so I am saying good night now.
