Watching Musicals Today Off and On
Okay, remember Aileen Quinn in Annie? Well, I do. With her being a year younger than me, I have been a fan of Aileen Quinn’s since Annie and the Frog Prince has been two good musicals I have watched through the years. Today, from midnight on to now, I have watched:
Snow White 2025
Cinderella 2023, and now,
The Frog Prince … Anyway, sometimes I fast forward to the best parts and to the end of the movie to the true meaning of a friendship between a frog who is really a prince under an evil witch’s spell to have power among the people. Aileen Quinn’s character has to save the frog Prince from his capativity before it’s too late and his frogness stays forever. In the meantime, her Uncle, the King of the kingdom is looking for a Princess and his two nieces are his candidates, and his niece becomes the Princess of the castle because of friendship, her promise to find the frog Prince who’s frogness is broken and becomes his human self again.
As the oldest sister vies for the princess role, tricks her sister Zora with her trapping the frog Prince Zora saves him from his frogness spell because she became a true princess of the land. Prine Freedley (sp?) becomes human again and what a fine story about promises and true friendship between a girl and a frog Prince, an older sister who becomes a meddlesome older sister to her sister’s friendship with the frog Prince/Prince Freedley. The older sister (Helen Hunt’s character) learns about being a true princess by her sister’s attitude throughout the movie. Zora’s Uncle (Clive Nevill’s character) learns of his nieces friendship with the frog Prince/Prince Freedley as well is well pleased that his youngest niece is deemed Princess of his kingdom.
Now I am watching Grease 2 with Michelle Pfeiffer, Adrian Zmed, and Didi Cohn, and the principal and secretary from the Greese starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, and many other favorites…
Today is a mixture of musicals and Law and Order: CI and Law & Order tv series and franchise.
Grease 2
I love musicals and this one has more music in it than the first one as students audition for a program that has music and dancing in it. Actors and actresses from other tv shows and movies are in this movie and boy, do these people know how to sing and dance. Didi Cohn reprises her role as Frenchy once more in this movie and her hair is no longer pink from when she dropped out of high school to go to beauty school failing the coloring class, and Frankie Avalon sang ‘Beauty School Dropout’ in Grease to Frenchy while she saw him and his dancers and backup singers sang with him. He was the angel that saved her by telling her to go back to high school. Grease 2 is a must see movie.
Today
Is a day of musicals of choice and tv marathon shows. Bedtime is coming around the corner here as time is going on 6 pm in the evening.
