Medical Appointment & Medical Ride

I know it has been a while since I last wrote anything ——- since February 26th. I have been busy with medical appointments and today, I had my yearly mammogram done at Mercy Hospital this afternoon. I don’t like my breasts being smooshed into a pancake, but the outcome is that my breasts is good and I am on my way.

Waiting for a medical ride to show up to take me home is a process at times. For some reason, we waited for over an hour for the ride to show up after my appointment was done and I am ready to go home. Jackie is NOT impressed with my medical rides lately, and to be honest with you, I am not impressed either. I have had a specific medical ride company NOT picking me up at a reasonable time after physical therapy. I had dialysis at 12:15 pm and I did not get to Fresenius until after 1 pm that day for training. We have asked MTM to flag this company where Madison Area Transport does not pick up anymore rides with me.

Today’s company MMZ was 45 minutes to pick me up after my mammogram. UNACCEPTABLE! MTM needs to get their act together!

I do not mean to gripe, but honestly, having unreliable medical rides makes me not trust getting to and from appointments with some rides. I feel that when I call MTM, giving them information does not always make me feel comfortable. I am talking to total strangers.
